SAB Leaders magazine is published quarterly and in the March 2013 edition, Tamara Oberholster published an article on my journey over the last 18 months. It is a wonderful privilege to share this story and give glory to God for great things he has done.

Hi David. I just read your posts with such keen interest. My son (22) has been battling testicular cancer since April/2011. He finished with stem cell treatment and high dose chemo just 2 weeks back. We are hoping to get results within the next couple days. He is also scheduled for an operation in Pta on 13 April (with Dr Lance Coetzee). The cancer was on the lymph nodes close to his kidney. He still feels the tumor but we are also trusting God for complete healing. It has been a journey so similar to yours and at some point I’d really like for my son to meet you. Hi Debbie. Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I know that God is great and is able to heal and still does miracles today. How is your son doing. I would be happy to meet with him. I was also with Dr Lance Coetzee for my initial operatoin. He is just an amazing man!

Wow David! It was just wonderful to read your story!! You certainly have been through a lot but God has really used you!! What an amazing testimony and well done on standing up and tell everyone about Jesus, his love for us and how our sin will kill us.
I’ve just read the whole story to Steve while we’re driving to go away for the Easter break. We’ve been so blessed by this.
We have been praying for you since we heard and the spoke to you last year this time. I remember you were just about to start chemo again – towards the end of April.
We are thrilled that its over and will continue praying for your sustained health!!

Thanks for the note Lyn. God has been good indeed and He has continued to use this disease to refine me and to encourage others. He has given me a new chance to live life and I will live every day for Him!
